GAUTIER, MS — Families are invited to join the fun this summer at the Gautier Public Library with the launch of “I Spy a Dinosaur!” — an interactive children’s activity featured as part of the library’s Summer Library Program.

Children can explore the library’s children’s section while participating in a dinosaur-themed “I Spy” game designed to encourage reading, observation, and imagination. The activity offers a fun and engaging way for young visitors to enjoy the library during the summer months.

Gautier Public Library Invites Families to “Unearth a Story” This Summer

Gautier, MS — Gautier Public Library is excited to announce its 2026 Summer Library Program, “Unearth a Story,” a free series of engaging and educational events for children and families.

Registration opens May 30, with programs beginning June 10. Elementary-aged students are invited to attend weekly programs held Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., while preschool programs will take place Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.

This year’s theme encourages young readers to dig into books, explore creativity, and discover new ideas through hands-on experiences and live presentations. Featured programs include:

  • June 10: White Tiger Lion Dance Team
  • June 17: “A Story, A Song” – Interactive Storytelling
  • June 24: Walter Anderson Museum of Art – “Create Your Own Explorer Map” inspired activity
  • July 1: Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center

All programs are free, and participants can read books and earn prizes throughout the summer.

Families interested in dinosaur-themed books and activities will find plenty of materials at their local library to spark curiosity and imagination.

Gautier Public Library Launches Free Community Seed Library

GAUTIER, MS — The Gautier Public Library is helping the community grow this season with the launch of the new Gautier Seed Library, offering free seed packets to library visitors.

Community members can choose from a variety of flower and vegetable seeds while supplies last. The program encourages gardening, sustainability, and hands-on learning for families and individuals of all ages.

The Seed Library is made possible through the generous support of Burpee and the Friends of the Gautier Library.

Residents are invited to stop by the Gautier Public Library at 2100 Library Lane to explore the selection and learn more about library programs and services.
