St. Martin Public Library Announces 2026 Summer Library Program: “Unearth A Story”

ST. MARTIN, MS — The St. Martin Public Library is inviting children and families to embark on a summer filled with imagination, creativity, and discovery during the 2026 Summer Library Program, “Unearth A Story.”

Beginning Wednesday, June 10, 2026, elementary students can participate in exciting weekly programs every Wednesday at 10 a.m. featuring storytelling, cultural performances, art activities, and wildlife experiences designed to inspire a love of reading and learning all summer long.

This year’s theme, “Unearth A Story,” encourages readers of all ages to explore new ideas, uncover exciting adventures, and connect through stories while earning prizes through the summer reading program.

2026 Program Schedule

  • June 10 – White Tiger Lion Dance Team
  • June 17 – “A Story, A Song” Storytelling Program
  • June 24 – Walter Anderson Museum of Art presents “Create Your Own Explorer Map” inspired by Walter Anderson
  • July 1 – Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center

Registration for the Summer Library Program begins May 30, 2026.

The library will also host Preschool Programs every Thursday at 10 a.m., giving younger children opportunities for fun early literacy activities and interactive learning.

“All programs are free and open to the community,” library staff said. “We encourage families to spend the summer reading together, discovering new interests, and enjoying all the library has to offer.”
