Gautier Teen Summer Library Programs (For Teens 6th – 12th grade)

GAUTIER, MS __ The Gautier Public Library is organizing a series of adventure-based events for teens from 6th to 12th grades on Wednesdays at 4 pm in June. These events are as follows:

June 5th, 2024, students will get to experience Adventures in Gardening – DIY Herb Garden. They will create their herb garden using donated materials and recyclables.

June 12th, 2024, students will experience Adventures in Cryptology: Navajo, The Unbreakable Code. They will learn about the background of the Navajo language, its use as a secret code in WW2, and how to decipher code.

June 19th, 2024, students will experience Adventures in Space – Build a UFO. They will get to share information about local UFO sightings and create their unidentified flying object.

June 26th, 2024, students will experience Adventures in Food – Teen Taste Challenge. They will identify various food by blind sampling each.

Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library. Interested participants are requested to call and register as supplies are limited.

Gautier Adult Summer Library Programs

GAUTIER, MS __ The Gautier Public Library is hosting an Adult Summer Library Program, every Saturday in June at 11 am. Here are the exciting events that you can attend:
June 8th, you can participate in the Gautier Community Treasure Hunt. Your goal is to find hidden treasures and solve puzzles. It’s an adventure that awaits you!

June 15th, you can join the Indiana Jones Movie Trivia to test your knowledge of one of the greatest adventure movies of all time.
June 22nd, you can make your own Tiki necklace, just like on the TV show Survivor.

June 29th, you can take a trip to the MGCCC Estuarine Education Center and enjoy a Bayou Adventure. Come run through the briers and run through the brambles and run through the bushes where a rabbit couldn’t go. Run right down to the Gautier Public Library, Down in Mississippi on the Gulf of Mexico.

GAUTIER, MS __ Join the Gautier Public Library’s Page Turners Book Club, which meets virtually on the 4th Monday of each month. GAUTIER, MS __ The Gautier Public Library hosts Storytime with Katie is every Thursday at 10 a.m. This event is open to preschool to kindergarten-aged children and includes music, crafts, and picture books. Come join us for a fun-filled morning!

Gautier Public Library Friends of the Library 4th Tuesday

GAUTIER, MS __ You are invited to attend the monthly meeting of the Friends of the Library, which takes place every 4th Tuesday at 9 am. Join us to discuss fundraising, marketing the library, and provide feedback and suggestions on library programs and events. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Friends of the Gautier Library, it only costs $5 for an individual or $10 for a family. Becoming a member is a great way to support the library and stay informed about upcoming events.
