Pascagoula Public Library Invites Families to “Unearth A Story”

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library is preparing for a summer filled with stories, creativity, wildlife, and hands-on learning as it launches the 2026 Summer Library Program: “Unearth A Story.”

Beginning Thursday, June 11, 2026, elementary students are invited to attend exciting weekly programs every Thursday at 2 p.m. designed to encourage reading, spark imagination, and inspire discovery throughout the summer months.

This year’s “Unearth A Story” theme invites children and families to explore new adventures through storytelling, science, art, music, and interactive educational experiences — all while earning prizes for reading.

2026 Program Schedule

• June 11 – White Tiger Lion Dance Team
• June 18 – “Story, A Song” Storytelling Program
• June 25 – Mississippi Museum of Natural Science featuring Conservation Educator Meaghan Huseman
• July 2 – Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center

Registration for the Summer Library Program begins May 30, 2026.

The library will also offer Preschool Programs every Wednesday at 10 a.m., providing younger children with fun early literacy activities and engaging learning opportunities.

“All summer programs are free and open to the community,” library staff shared. “We encourage families to make reading a part of their summer adventures while connecting with the library through these exciting educational programs.”
