The Vancleave Public Library is excited to welcome children and families to its 2025 Summer Library Program with the theme: “Color Our World” — a celebration of creativity, nature, storytelling, and music!

Vancleave Public Library Invites Young Artists to “Color Our World” Youth Art Exhibit – Summer 2025
The Vancleave Public Library is excited to host a Youth Art Exhibit as part of its 2025 Summer Library Program theme: “Color Our World.” This vibrant community display will run from June 1 through July 31, showcasing the incredible creativity of local youth ages 3 to 17.
🎨 Call for Submissions:
Young artists are invited to submit original artwork in any format: canvas, paper, or 3-dimensional. Each piece should include the artist’s name, age, and a contact phone number on the back.
All artwork will be displayed in the library with care. Please note: While pieces will be placed out of reach and a “Do Not Touch” sign will be posted, the library is not responsible for loss or damage.

Vancleave Public Library Hosts Weekly Summer Story Time Series
Vancleave, MS – The Vancleave Public Library invites families to dive into imagination and creativity with Summer Library Story Time, taking place every Thursday at 10:00 AM beginning June 5th through July 10th.
This engaging six-week series is perfect for children and families looking to explore new themes each week through stories, activities, and early literacy fun. Each session is designed to celebrate creativity while fostering a love of reading and learning.

VANCLEAVE, MS – The Vancleave Public Library invites the community to enjoy a vibrant and engaging lineup of Adult Summer Library Programs as part of its 2025 “Color Our World” series. From paint pouring to live theater, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this June!

June 5 @ 4:00 PM – Color Cascade: Paint Pouring Magic
Explore the fluid art technique of paint pouring in this hands-on, creative session. No experience required—just bring your imagination!
June 12 @ 4:00 PM – Diamond Colors: Crafting with Sparkle (Held at Wards in Vancleave)
Discover the relaxing and dazzling art of diamond painting, a fun way to create sparkling, detailed designs.
June 21 @ 4:30 PM – “Clue” Murder Mystery Dinner Theater
Step into the world of mystery, laughter, and intrigue with a live-action performance of the classic board game “Clue.” Enjoy an immersive evening of dining and drama!
June 28 @ 4:30 PM – “Clue” Murder Mystery Encore with Alternate Ending
Back by popular demand! If you missed the first show—or just want to see how it ends differently—join us for a special encore performance with a twist!

Vancleave Public Library Hosts “Clue” Murder Mystery Dinner Theater: An Evening of Mystery, Mayhem, and Fun Awaits!
Vancleave, MS – The Vancleave Public Library is thrilled to announce two special showings of its Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, featuring the classic whodunit favorite, “Clue”. The thrilling live-action performances will take place on Friday, June 21st and Friday, June 28th. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with the show starting promptly at 5:00 p.m. Guests are reminded that no admittance will be allowed after 5:00 p.m.
Presented by the Friends of the Vancleave Public Library, this interactive evening promises laughter, suspense, and audience participation as guests work to solve the mystery. A twist ending awaits on June 28th for those who return for the encore performance!
Tickets are $15 per person, available in advance only by cash or check at the Vancleave Public Library. No tickets will be sold at the door, and seating is limited, so early purchase is strongly encouraged.

Vancleave Public Library Offers Free Hands-On Cooking Matters® Classes for Adults
VANCLEAVE, MS – The Vancleave Public Library is partnering with Mississippi State University Extension to present Cooking Matters®, a six-week hands-on course designed to help adults prepare healthy, affordable meals for their families.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., June 25 through July 30 at the Vancleave Public Library. Each weekly session is led by trained educators and covers essential skills like reading food labels, using a knife safely, cutting up a whole chicken, and more.
Participants also receive free groceries to take home after the first four classes to practice what they’ve learned.
