Pascagoula Public Library Hosts Weekly Preschool Storytime

Pascagoula, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library invites families to join Preschool Storytime every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Children can enjoy a morning filled with stories, songs, and fun activities led by Ms. Sara.  Storytime is designed especially for preschoolers, but children of all ages are welcome to participate. It’s the perfect opportunity to spark a love of reading while making memories together.

PASCAGOULA, MS __ The Pascagoula Public Library cordially invites you to join us every Tuesday for a delightful tea time. We offer two different teas each week for you to try and discuss. Additionally, patrons are welcome to select a tea from our tea library and enjoy it at their leisure. We encourage you to bring your favorite tea cup or mug to enhance your tea-drinking experience. Tea time is from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. We hope to see you there!

Pascagoula, MS – The Pascagoula Public Library invites book lovers to unwind and reconnect with reading at its Silent Circle Book Club, held every third Tuesday from 5:00–6:00 p.m.

This unique, low-pressure gathering offers an hour of quiet reading time followed by an optional, relaxed discussion. There’s no assigned book—participants simply bring whatever they’re currently reading and enjoy a peaceful space surrounded by fellow readers.

Designed for those who love books but prefer a flexible, stress-free format, Silent Circle Book Club creates a welcoming atmosphere where community and literature come together.

Pascagoula Public Library Hosts Kids Mystery Slime Program

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library invites children and families to join in the gooey fun at the Kids Mystery Slime Program on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.

Young participants will start with a simple slime base and then customize their creations with a variety of surprise add-ins to create their own squishy masterpiece. This hands-on activity encourages creativity, sensory exploration, and playful experimentation.

Thanks to support from the Friends of the Pascagoula Public Library, all materials will be provided, so participants only need to bring their imagination.

Space for the program is limited, and attendees are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance by calling the library.

Pascagoula Public Library Hosts Youth Reverse Coloring Program

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library invites teens to explore their creativity at the Youth Reverse Coloring program on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

Reverse coloring flips traditional coloring on its head. Instead of filling in blank spaces, participants will add their own drawings and designs to colorful watercolor backgrounds, creating imaginative and unique artwork.

This relaxing and creative program is designed for youth ages 12–18 and encourages participants to unwind while experimenting with art in a fun and unconventional way.

The program is made possible with support from the Friends of the Pascagoula Public Library, and all materials will be provided.

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library will host a free Résumé & Interview Workshop on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. to help community members strengthen their job search skills and prepare for upcoming opportunities.

This informative workshop is designed for individuals at any stage of their career journey. Whether attendees are applying for their first job, seeking scholarships, or making a career transition, the session will provide valuable tools to help participants present themselves confidently and professionally.

Topics covered during the workshop will include:

  • Building and improving a résumé
    • Starting and structuring a cover letter
    • Communicating skills effectively
    • Preparing for job interviews
    • Using AI tools to assist with job applications

Pascagoula Public Library Hosts Creative “Bookmark” Craft Workshop

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library invites the community to give retired books a second life at the “Bookmark” Craft Workshop on Saturday, April 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Hosted by the Friends of the Pascagoula Library, this creative program encourages participants to transform recycled books into personalized bookmarks and other artistic creations. The workshop celebrates the idea of reviving retired books and breathing new life into forgotten stories through hands-on crafting.

Basic supplies and recycled books will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring any additional materials they would like to incorporate into their designs.

Pascagoula Public Library to Host “Cooking Matters” Hands-On Cooking Course for Adults

PASCAGOULA, MS — Pascagoula Public Library is partnering with Mississippi State University Extension to offer Cooking Matters®, a free six-week hands-on cooking course for adults, beginning Tuesday, March 31.

The course will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 4:00–6:00 p.m. through May 5 at Pascagoula Public Library.

Led by trained educators, Cooking Matters teaches participants practical skills including food preparation, grocery shopping, meal planning, food budgeting, and nutrition. Participants will practice preparing and tasting recipes during class while learning how to make healthy, affordable meals at home.

The program is taught by Shelby E. Naron, MS, RD, LD, CHES, Nutrition Educator with Mississippi State University Extension.

Pascagoula Public Library Hosts LEGO Club for Young Builders

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library invites young builders to join the LEGO Club, a creative program designed to inspire imagination and hands-on fun.

The club will meet on Thursday, April 23, 2026, and Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Pascagoula Public Library.

Participants will have the opportunity to build unique LEGO creations while exploring their creativity and problem-solving skills. All LEGO materials will be provided by the library, participants just need to bring their imagination.

The program is designed for children and families. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

PASCAGOULA, MS — The Pascagoula Public Library invites the community to unleash their creativity at the “Hack That Painting” Art Workshop on Thursday, April 23 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

This imaginative program encourages participants to reinvent and personalize pre-loved artwork. Attendees will select from a variety of donated paintings and add their own creative touches, whether whimsical, dramatic, subtle, or unexpected, to transform forgotten art into something entirely new.

No artistic experience is required. The workshop is designed for anyone who enjoys creativity, experimentation, and having fun while crafting a unique masterpiece.
