Ocean Springs Municipal Library Hosts Community Blood Drive

Ocean Springs, MS – The Ocean Springs Municipal Library is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a community Blood Drive on Thursday, March 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Community members are invited to roll up their sleeves and help save lives. Every donation can make a critical difference for patients in need, from accident victims to those undergoing surgery or cancer treatment.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome as space allows.  By giving blood, donors are providing hope, healing, and potentially life-saving support to someone in need.  For more information, contact the library at 228-875-1193.

Beginning Monday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m., Sensory Storytime will take place every other Monday in the second-floor Sensory Space at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center, located at 1600 Government Street, Ocean Springs.

This program offers a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment where children can enjoy stories, movement, and interactive activities tailored to support diverse learning and sensory needs.

This monthly gathering encourages participants to turn everyday “junk” into meaningful art through collage, journaling, and upcycled scrapbooking. Ocean Springs Municipal Library and Jackson County 4-H Launch Robotics & STEM Club

Ocean Springs, MS — Springs Municipal Library, in partnership with Jackson County 4-H, is excited to announce the launch of a Robotics & STEM Club for children and teens. The club will meet every other Tuesday, beginning March 3, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Municipal Library.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with a special focus on robotics. The program is open to multiple age groups, including Cloverbuds (ages 5–7), Juniors (ages 8–13), and Seniors (ages 14–18). In addition to skill-building activities, the club may participate in competitions with other STEM and robotics clubs at the local, regional, or national level.

Ocean Springs Municipal Library Launches Monday Mystery Society

Ocean Springs, MS —The Ocean Springs Municipal Library is thrilled to announce the launch of the Monday Mystery Society, a new monthly gathering for mystery lovers, puzzle solvers, and armchair detectives.

Beginning Monday, December 15 from 6:00–8:00 p.m., the group will meet at The Traveler, located inside the Walter Anderson Museum of Art at 1007 Joseph Street in Ocean Springs.

Each month, participants will work together to unravel thrilling mysteries while enjoying a themed menu and drinks curated by The Traveler. The event is free and ticketed, with food and beverages available for purchase.
