St. Martin Public Library Invites Teens to Create DIY T-Shirt Tote Bags
ST. MARTIN, Miss. – Give an old T-shirt a brand-new purpose! The St. Martin Public Library is inviting local teens to get creative while learning a fun and practical upcycling skill during its DIY T-Shirt Totes for Teens program.
The hands-on workshop will be held on Saturday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m., and is open to teens ages 12–17. Participants will learn how to transform old T-shirts into reusable tote bags—perfect for books, shopping, or everyday use—without the need for sewing.
Teens are encouraged to bring an old T-shirt they'd like to repurpose, or they may use one provided by the library.
This environmentally friendly program promotes creativity, sustainability, and hands-on learning while giving participants a useful item they can take home.
The program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the St. Martin Library.
The event is free and open to teens ages 12–17. For more information, call 228-392-3250 or visit www.JGRLS.org.
The Jackson-George Regional Library System is proud to provide creative, educational programming that inspires lifelong learning while building stronger communities.
