Jackson-George Regional Library System Announces Full Staff and Normal Hours for Lucedale-George County Library

Lucedale, MS – The Jackson-George Regional Library System is pleased to announce that the Lucedale-George County Library is now operating with a full staff and regular hours. After a period of limited staffing that began on July 1, 2024, due to budget constraints, the library is now fully staffed and ready to serve the community with its regular operating hours.

Effective October 1, 2024, the Lucedale-George County Library will be open 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday – Thursday, and 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Friday and Saturday. This update comes after collaborative efforts between the Jackson-George Regional Library System and City of Lucedale officials to ensure full services are available to the public.

“We are thrilled to be fully staffed again and appreciate the community’s support and patience during the past few months,” said Angela Stewart, Director of the Jackson-George Regional Library System. “Libraries are essential to the vitality of our community, and we are excited to continue offering valuable services, programs, and resources to our patrons.”

In addition to welcoming patrons, the Lucedale-George County Library is encouraging applicants to join their team. Positions within the library system are available, and the library welcomes individuals interested in making a positive impact on the community.
