Gautier Public Library Shares Warmth with Little Free Tea Library

Gautier, MS – Gautier Public Library invites the community to enjoy a cozy seasonal treat through its Little Free Tea Library, offering free bags of tea to help celebrate the cool weather and holiday season.

Visitors are welcome to stop by the library and select a complimentary bag of tea, with a limit of one per person per day, while supplies last. The Little Free Tea Library is made possible through generous donations from the Friends of the Gautier Public Library and Good Things by Gidget.

Gautier Public Library Brings Back Saturday Morning Cartoons

Gautier, MS – Grab the kids and relive the magic of weekend mornings at Saturday Morning Cartoons at Gautier Public Library!

Join us on March 14 and March 28 at 9:30 a.m. for a fun-filled morning featuring beloved favorites like Sesame Street, Little Bear, Franklin, Reading Rainbow, Max & Ruby, Molly of Denali, Paddington Bear, and Elinor Wonders Why.

Families can enjoy a cozy cartoon experience at the library, complete with fruit snacks and juice boxes provided.  This free program is perfect for young children and families looking for a cheerful way to start their Saturday. Bring your little ones and enjoy a classic Saturday tradition, library style!

Mississippi Poetry Society – South Branch Welcomes Community to Monthly Meetings

Gautier, MS – Poetry lovers, writers, and creative minds are invited to attend the Mississippi Poetry Society – South Branch monthly meetings at Gautier Public Library.

Meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. and are open to everyone, whether you write poetry, enjoy reading it, or simply appreciate the art of words.

Gautier Public Library Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with Shamrock Cookie Decorating

Gautier, MS – Get ready for a sweet celebration! Gautier Public Library invites the community to Shamrock Cookie Decorating on Monday, March 16 at 4:30 p.m.

Participants will enjoy icing and decorating festive cookies in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. All cookies and decorating supplies will be generously provided by the Friends of the Gautier Library.

This fun, hands-on program is perfect for families, kids, and anyone who loves a little creativity (and a little frosting!). Come celebrate with us and create a cookie that’s as lucky as a four-leaf clover!

Gautier, MS – Book lovers are invited to gather for the Page Turners Monthly Meeting at Gautier Public Library on Saturday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m.

This month’s featured title is When the Moon Hits Your Eye by bestselling author John Scalzi. Readers will enjoy an engaging discussion of the book of the month, along with the opportunity to share other recent reads and recommendations.

The Page Turners Book Club offers a welcoming space for thoughtful conversation, connection, and community among fellow readers.
Refreshments are generously provided by the Friends of the Gautier Public Library. Whether you’ve read the featured title or simply love talking books, all are welcome to join the discussion.

Gautier Public Library Invites Community to “Take Home a Cryptid!”

Gautier, MS – Bigfoot, Mothman, the Loch Ness Monster… which cryptid will you take home? Gautier Public Library invites the community to “Take Home a Cryptid!” on Saturday, March 28 at 10:30 a.m.

Participants will paint their own 3-D printed cryptid figurine and bring a legendary creature to life. From mysterious lake monsters to forest-dwelling giants, this creative program is perfect for fans of folklore, fantasy, and hands-on fun.

All supplies are provided.  Space is limited, so participants are asked to call the library to reserve their spot.  Unleash your imagination and welcome a little mystery into your home!

Gautier Public Library Hosts Monthly Trivia Night at Antonio’s Pizzeria, New Date and Time

Gautier, MS — Think you know it all? Put your knowledge to the test at Trivia Night with the Gautier Public Library, held at Antonio’s Pizzeria on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of fun, food, and friendly competition while supporting your local library. Trivia Night is free to play and open to all—bring your friends, form a team, and see if you have what it takes to be the champions!

This event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Spanish Trail Lanes Bowling Center, Antonio’s Pizzeria, Garden House Brew Co., and the Friends of the Library – Gautier.

Monthly Friends of the Library Meeting

 

Gautier, MS — The Gautier Public Library invites community members to join the Friends of the Library Monthly Membership Meeting, held every third Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the library.

These meetings offer an opportunity to support and shape the future of the library through discussions on fundraising, marketing, and event planning. Members also provide valuable feedback and ideas for programs and services that benefit the entire community.

Annual membership is just $5 for individuals or $10 for families, with corporate sponsorships beginning at $25. New members are always welcome!
