Gautier Public Library Shares Warmth with Little Free Tea Library

Gautier, MS – Gautier Public Library invites the community to enjoy a cozy seasonal treat through its Little Free Tea Library, offering free bags of tea to help celebrate the cool weather and holiday season.

Visitors are welcome to stop by the library and select a complimentary bag of tea, with a limit of one per person per day, while supplies last. The Little Free Tea Library is made possible through generous donations from the Friends of the Gautier Public Library and Good Things by Gidget.

Gautier Public Library Hosts Generative Writing Workshop

GAUTIER, MS — Gautier Public Library invites aspiring writers to attend a Generative Writing Workshop on Thursday, April 9 at 5:00 p.m.
Designed for teens and adults, this free workshop will help participants create new poetry as part of the “30 Poems / 30 Days” challenge.

The session will provide writing prompts and inspiration to help writers generate fresh ideas and develop their creative voice.
Whether participants are experienced writers or just beginning their creative journey, the workshop offers a supportive environment to explore poetry and creative expression.

The event will be held at Gautier Public Library, 2100 Library Lane. Participation is free, but registration is encouraged.

Gautier Public Library Hosts “Science with Peeps” Program

GAUTIER, MS — Gautier Public Library invites families to a fun and educational program, Science with Peeps, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Participants will explore science through hands-on experiments using everyone’s favorite marshmallow treats. From creative tests to playful experiments, possibly even slime, this program offers a sweet way to learn about science. Peeps will be provided by the Friends of the Gautier Public Library.

Mississippi Poetry Society – South Branch Welcomes Community to Monthly Meetings

Gautier, MS – Poetry lovers, writers, and creative minds are invited to attend the Mississippi Poetry Society – South Branch monthly meetings at Gautier Public Library.

Meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. and are open to everyone, whether you write poetry, enjoy reading it, or simply appreciate the art of words.

Participants will gather to discuss the book of the month, The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, along with other books they’re currently enjoying. The Page Turners Book Club offers a welcoming space for readers to share recommendations, discover new titles, and connect with fellow book enthusiasts.

Refreshments will be generously provided by the Friends of the Gautier Public Library.

Gautier Public Library Hosts DIY Fairy House Planter Workshop

GAUTIER, MS — Gautier Public Library invites the community to welcome spring with a creative DIY Fairy House Planter Workshop on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m.

Participants will create their own whimsical fairy house planter while enjoying a fun and relaxing crafting experience. All supplies will be provided, making it easy for attendees to design a unique planter to take home.

Gautier Public Library Hosts Monthly Trivia Night at Antonio’s Pizzeria, New Date and Time

Gautier, MS — Think you know it all? Put your knowledge to the test at Trivia Night with the Gautier Public Library, held at Antonio’s Pizzeria on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of fun, food, and friendly competition while supporting your local library. Trivia Night is free to play and open to all—bring your friends, form a team, and see if you have what it takes to be the champions!

This event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Spanish Trail Lanes Bowling Center, Antonio’s Pizzeria, Garden House Brew Co., and the Friends of the Library – Gautier.

Monthly Friends of the Library Meeting

 

Gautier, MS — The Gautier Public Library invites community members to join the Friends of the Library Monthly Membership Meeting, held every third Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the library.

These meetings offer an opportunity to support and shape the future of the library through discussions on fundraising, marketing, and event planning. Members also provide valuable feedback and ideas for programs and services that benefit the entire community.

Annual membership is just $5 for individuals or $10 for families, with corporate sponsorships beginning at $25. New members are always welcome!
