GAUTIER, Miss. – Plant lovers and aspiring gardeners are invited to visit the new Propagation Station at Gautier Public Library, where the community can adopt free plant cuttings to nurture and grow at home.

Thanks to a generous donation of plant cuttings, the library is sharing the joy of gardening by encouraging patrons to take home a plant and watch it flourish. Whether you’re an experienced plant enthusiast or just beginning your indoor gardening journey, the Propagation Station offers a fun and sustainable way to grow your collection.

To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, patrons are asked to limit one plant cutting per person while supplies last.

Gautier Public Library Partners with MGCCC to Host FAFSA Night

GAUTIER, Miss. – Planning for college or returning to school? Gautier Public Library, in partnership with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC), invites students and families to FAFSA Night on Tuesday, August 11, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

During this free event, MGCCC Financial Aid Specialists will be available to provide one-on-one assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) accurately and efficiently. Whether you’re applying for college for the first time or returning to continue your education, experts will answer questions, explain the financial aid process, and help maximize your funding opportunities.

This is a great opportunity to receive personalized guidance in a supportive environment at no cost.

Gautier Public Library Invites Creative Minds to Monthly Junk Journaling Group

GAUTIER, Miss. — Gautier Public Library invites adults and teens interested in creative journaling, paper crafting, and mixed-media art to join its Junk Journaling Group, which meets on the first Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the library’s meeting room.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Gautier Library, the ongoing program provides participants with an opportunity to explore the art of junk journaling—a creative hobby that transforms everyday materials such as paper scraps, book pages, photographs, ephemera, and keepsakes into personalized journals and memory books.

GAUTIER, MS — Gautier Public Library invites readers to relax and unwind this summer with Silent Book Club at the Hammocks, held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 5:00–6:00 PM during June and July.

This peaceful outdoor reading experience encourages participants to bring a favorite book, chair, or blanket and enjoy an hour of quiet reading near the library’s hammocks. Several hammocks will also be available for attendees to use while supplies last.

Designed for readers who enjoy the company of fellow book lovers without the pressure of assigned reading or discussion, Silent Book Club at the Hammocks offers a calm and welcoming atmosphere to simply relax and read outdoors. Participants are encouraged to bring bug spray and dress comfortably for the weather.

Gautier, MS — The Gautier Public Library invites community members to join the Friends of the Library Monthly Membership Meeting, held every third Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the library.

These meetings offer an opportunity to support and shape the future of the library through discussions on fundraising, marketing, and event planning. Members also provide valuable feedback and ideas for programs and services that benefit the entire community.

Annual membership is just $5 for individuals or $10 for families, with corporate sponsorships beginning at $25. New members are always welcome!
