Ina Thompson Moss Point Library Hosts [cid:e9b05388-3d4b-449a-bb49-32268d02cdec] Moss Point, MS — The Ina Thompson Moss Point Library is proud to partner with De L’Epée Deaf Center, Inc. and the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi to offer a 6-week introductory course in American Sign Language (ASL) beginning this fall.
Classes will be held at the library starting at 4:30 PM on the following dates:
* October 21 & 28
* November 4, 18, & 25
* December 2
“Let’s Talk with Our Hands: Intro to Sign Language” is designed for beginners and those at an intermediate level, providing a supportive and interactive environment to learn ASL basics. Participants will explore vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills to help communicate more effectively with members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
“Whether you want to communicate with a loved one or simply learn a new skill, this program is a meaningful way to connect and broaden understanding,” said Branch Manager Liz Murphy.
