Ina Thompson Moss Point Library Launches “How Was I Supposed to Know?” Teen Life Skills Series
MOSS POINT, MS — Ina Thompson Moss Point Library is helping teens tackle real-world challenges with its new summer series, How Was I Supposed to Know? — a fun and practical “Adulting 101” program designed to build confidence and life skills.
Held as part of the Unearth a Story Summer Reading Program, the series will guide teens through creative and practical topics ranging from financial basics to family history research.
Program Schedule:
✍️ June 11 — Modern Hieroglyphics
Teens will create and personalize their signature while learning about identity and self-expression.
💵 June 18 — Money Doesn’t Have to Be Scary
Participants will explore budgeting basics, spending wisely, and practical money tips for everyday life.
🌳 June 25 — Unearthing Your Roots
Learn how to trace family history, discover genealogy resources, and uncover family stories.
🎉 July 2 — Celebrate. Compete. Eat.
The series wraps up with games, activities, and celebration as participants put their new skills to use.
This engaging teen-focused series encourages learning in a relaxed, welcoming environment while helping participants build practical knowledge for the future.
