Lucedale-George County Public Library Hosts Backyard Chickens Program for Children
LUCEDALE, Miss. — Young animal lovers and curious learners are invited to attend Backyard Chickens, a special educational program for children at the Lucedale-George County Public Library on Tuesday, July 14, at 4:00 p.m.
The library will welcome special guest Ann Howard from the Mississippi State University George County Extension Office, who will introduce children to the fascinating world of backyard chickens. Participants will learn how to care for chickens, what they eat, and why they have become popular backyard pets for families across the country.
The interactive program is designed to encourage curiosity about animals, agriculture, and responsible pet care while providing children with an opportunity to ask questions and learn from a local expert.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
