Ina Thompson Moss Point Library Celebrates National Poetry Month with Blackout Poetry Program
MOSS POINT, MS — Ina Thompson Moss Point Library invites adults to celebrate National Poetry Month with a creative Blackout Poetry workshop on Thursday, April 16 at 5:00 p.m.
Blackout poetry is a unique art form where participants create poems by removing or “blacking out” words from a printed page, leaving behind a new piece of poetry formed from the remaining words. The activity blends creativity, writing, and visual art to produce one-of-a-kind works.
This abstract, hands-on program is open to adults ages 18 and older, and all materials will be provided.
Space for the program is limited, and participants are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance by calling 228-475-7462 or visiting the library.

The program is part of the Jackson-George Regional Library System’s mission to inspire ideas, enrich lives, and build communities.
