St. Martin Public Library Partners with American Red Cross for Blood Drive

MARTIN, MS — The St. Martin Public Library is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Monday, September 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Donating blood saves lives every day, helping accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. Community members are encouraged to register online at www.redcrossblood.org and select a convenient time slot.  Thank you for joining us to make a difference in the lives of patients in need.

LEGO Club Returns to St. Martin Public Library

ST. MARTIN, MS — Calling all young builders! The St. Martin Public Library is hosting LEGO Club on Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18, and Dec. 16 at 3:30 p.m. Children will explore their creativity by building unique projects based on different themes and challenges each month.  The club is designed for ages 6 to 12, but all school-aged children are welcome. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The library provides all the LEGO bricks—participants just need to bring their imagination!

Create Your Own Festive Canvas Tote Bag at the St. Martin Public Library

ST. MARTIN, MS — The St. Martin Public Library invites adults to get creative at a DIY Canvas Tote Bag Workshop on Thursday, September 25 at 4:00 p.m.

Participants will decorate their own canvas tote bag using a variety of seasonal stencils, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas themes. This fun, hands-on crafting session is the perfect way to add a personal touch to your everyday carryall or make a handmade gift for someone special.

This program is intended for ages 18 and up. Supplies will be provided by the Friends of the St. Martin Public Library.

St. Martin Public Library Hosts Author Meet & Greet with Deborah Lacy

ST. MARTIN, MS — The St. Martin Public Library invites the community to meet local author Deborah Lacy on Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Deborah Lacy, author of First You Cry, Heart to Heart to Heart, and more, draws on over 30 years of experience in education and child welfare to share inspirational works that offer encouragement through poems, songs, and books. Her writing speaks from God’s heart, to hers, and into the lives of her readers.

Join us to hear about her latest projects, connect with fellow readers, and be inspired.

Homeschool Crafternoon

ST. MARTIN, MS __ Join us at the St. Martin Public Library on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for our exciting Homeschool Crafternoon event! Bring your family and drop in anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to get creative in the Children’s Library. After the craft session, feel free to stick around and mingle with other homeschoolers. No need to register, but it’s preferable. This program is perfect for elementary-aged children and is made possible by the Friends of the St. Martin Public Library. Remember, children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. We can’t wait to see you there!
