St. Martin Public Library Celebrates Dr. Seuss Week

St. Martin, MS – The St. Martin Public Library invites families to join in the fun during Dr. Seuss Week, March 2nd–March 5th, celebrating the beloved author’s birthday with themed dress-up days and plenty of Seuss-inspired silliness.

Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate in daily themes:

  • Monday – Fox in Socks / 500 Hats: Wear your favorite, mismatched, or crazy socks paired with your favorite hat.
  • Tuesday – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish: Wear your favorite red or blue shirt.
  • Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday: Show off your wackiest and tackiest outfit.
  • Thursday – Favorite Characters: Dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss character.

Dr. Seuss Week is a fun way to encourage reading, creativity, and community spirit while celebrating one of children’s literature’s most iconic authors.

St. Martin Public Library Launches “The Creative Collective” for Teens

St. Martin, MS – Young artists are invited to connect, create, and collaborate at The Creative Collective, a new teen art program at St. Martin Public Library on March 16th at 4:30 p.m.

Designed for ages 12–17, this program offers a fun, safe space where teens can share artistic ideas, develop their talents, and explore creativity alongside peers. Participants are encouraged to bring their own projects, experiment with new techniques, and express themselves freely. All art styles and mediums are welcome—from drawing and painting to digital art and mixed media.

The Creative Collective aims to build community while nurturing self-expression and confidence through the arts.

St. Martin Public Library Hosts Easter Watercolor Painting Event for Adults

St. Martin, MS – The St. Martin Public Library invites adults to “hop into spring” at its Easter Watercolor Painting program on Tuesday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m.

Participants will enjoy a relaxing and creative afternoon designing their own Easter-themed bunny artwork. Guided instruction will help attendees capture the charm of spring with bright colors, playful rabbits, and festive seasonal details.

All supplies will be provided by the Friends of the St. Martin Public Library, and no prior painting experience is necessary. Space is limited, and registration is required.

This program is intended for adults 18 and up.

Homeschool Crafternoon

ST. MARTIN, MS __ Join us at the St. Martin Public Library on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for our exciting Homeschool Crafternoon event! Bring your family and drop in anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to get creative in the Children’s Library. After the craft session, feel free to stick around and mingle with other homeschoolers. No need to register, but it’s preferable. This program is perfect for elementary-aged children and is made possible by the Friends of the St. Martin Public Library. Remember, children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. We can’t wait to see you there!
