Ocean Springs Library Offers Homeschool Curriculum Swap
Ocean Springs, MS — The Ocean Springs Municipal Library is excited to announce a new resource for homeschooling families: the Homeschool Curriculum Swap.
This free program provides families the flexibility to share curriculum materials they no longer need and exchange them for resources that better fit their current learning plans. The swap encourages community support, reduces waste, and helps families discover new tools to enrich their homeschool journey, all at no cost.
Families are welcome to bring in gently used curriculum to contribute and browse what others have shared. Whether you are new to homeschooling or a seasoned educator, this swap is a practical way to connect, share, and save.
Ocean Springs Municipal Library & Walter Anderson Museum of Art Present: Picnic Under the Stars
Ocean Springs, MS — The Ocean Springs Municipal Library and the Walter Anderson Museum of Art invite the community to Picnic Under the Stars on Friday, October 3, from 6:00–10:00 p.m. at The Traveler, 1007 Joseph St., Ocean Springs, MS.
This free family-friendly event features stargazing and cosmic conversations with Jon Talbot, a locally renowned astrophotographer and PixInsight expert. Jon has captured stunning night sky imagery from his backyard observatory on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and shares his passion through workshops and presentations across the Southeast.

Ocean Springs Municipal Library Hosts International Soda Tasting
Ocean Springs, MS — The Ocean Springs Municipal Library invites the community to explore the world of fizzy beverages at its International Soda Tasting on Saturday, October 4, from 2:30–3:30 p.m.
From ginger ales to cherry sodas and plum pops, this fun and educational event takes participants on a flavorful journey through the history and evolution of sodas from around the world. The event is designed for all ages.

Ocean Springs Municipal Library Hosts Harvest Baking Challenge
Ocean Springs, MS — The Ocean Springs Municipal Library invites community bakers to showcase their culinary skills at the Harvest Baking Challenge on Saturday, October 18, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their best seasonal baked dessert for the chance to win prizes in three categories: Best Tasting, Best Presentation, and Best Creativity Using Seasonal Ingredients. Sit, Stay and Read!
OCEAN SPRINGS, MS __You are invited to bring your children to the Ocean Springs Municipal Library on the last Saturday of the month to participate in our “Sit, Stay, Read!” program. This program, sponsored by Visiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi, allows children to read to licensed therapy dogs and is designed to boost confidence in early and young readers. Memory Cafe for Seniors
OCEAN SPRINGS, MS __ The Ocean Springs Municipal Library has collaborated with the Ocean Springs Senior Center to organize a monthly Memory Cafe for seniors. The cafe will occur on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 AM, and attendees will meet at the Senior Center at 515 Washington Ave. During the cafe, participants will discuss various topics, including popular dates, events, and personal memories. To make the event more fun, a trivia round with prizes will be held at the end of each session.
