Ina Thompson Moss Point Library Announces August Storytime Series
MOSS POINT, Miss. – Young readers and their families are invited to join the Ina Thompson Moss Point Library for a month of exciting August Storytimes featuring fun themes, engaging stories, hands-on activities, and opportunities to learn through play.
Each week brings a new adventure designed to spark imagination while celebrating national observances and encouraging creativity.
August Storytime Schedule
🍪 August 4 – National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
Celebrate everyone's favorite sweet treat with cookie-themed stories, songs, and activities.
👀 August 11 – Eye See You!
In recognition of Children's Eye Health and Safety Month, children will enjoy stories and activities focused on keeping their eyes healthy while learning about the importance of vision.
✈️ August 15 – Family Saturday Storytime: National Aviation Week
Families are invited to soar into adventure with stories celebrating flight, airplanes, and aviation history during this special Saturday Storytime.
📸 August 18 – Say Cheese!
Celebrate World Photography Day (August 19) with stories and creative activities that encourage children to capture the world around them through imagination and pictures.
💙 August 25 – #BK2HK: Be Kind to Humankind Week
Children will discover the importance of kindness, friendship, empathy, and helping others through uplifting stories and fun activities.
Storytimes at the Ina Thompson Moss Point Library encourage early literacy, language development, and a lifelong love of reading in a welcoming environment for children and caregivers.
