Registration Procedures
Registration for free computer classes will be conducted on a week by week basis. A valid JGRLS library card is required at class time. Registration will open on Monday each week at 9:00 a.m. for the following week classes (unless it is a holiday). Customers who wish to take a course in Jackson County may register in person at the Pascagoula Public Library or by calling 769-3060, and press #1.
Customers in who wish to take a course in Lucedale/George County may register in person at the Lucedale-George County Public Library or by calling (601) 947-2123 at anytime or day after registration has been opened.

Introduction to Microsoft Word
To include getting started on the computer, using Windows, mouse and keyboard basics, using Word, creating documents, editing, printing, saving.
Introduction to Microsoft Excel
To include creating and editing an Excel spreadsheet, entering formulas, creating charts, printing and saving a worksheet.
PowerPoint Basics
You can easily create professional looking presentations using PowerPoint. Come learn the basics of creating and showing a presentation.
Internet Basics
Beginner Class – To include searching the internet, Internet security, and getting connected and searching!
E-Resources for Job Seekers
We will provide a detailed presentation on various electronic resources to assist anyone who is seeking a job. Several websites and online tools will be discussed. Join us in the meeting room to see how we can help you search for a new job!

For a Facebook Profile: You must have an e-mail account (bring your username and password to class). This class is for Internet users who wish to learn more about the phenomena of online social networking. We’ll help you set up a personal Facebook profile. We will discuss security settings, privacy issues and different features of Facebook such as posting your status, writing on a wall, finding friends, uploading pictures, and chatting.
Instagram
Instagram is a FREE, fast, beautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family. Snap a picture, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram. Share to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr too – it’s as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented. Come to the library and learn how to use it! It was originally just for only the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch; in April 2012, support was added for Android camera phones running 2.2 Froyo. Bring your device and join the fun!
