E-BOOK GRAPHIC

Welcome to our Axis360
Digital Media Library

Checking out eBooks is now easier than ever before using free e-reading apps (Blio & axisReader) that allow access to eBooks and/or electronic media on Windows, iOS, and Android computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and eReaders.  Library cardholders can search for and check out free eBooks through the JGRLS public access catalog (PAC) or by going directly to the JGRLS Axis 360 Digital Media Library.

Available since June 2011, this app is better able to present content rich/highly illustrated titles (cookbooks, children’s books, etc.).

In Blio "books come to life" through crystal clear sound and color images.  If you borrow a Blio formatted title in Axis 360, you will have to open it in Blio…but Blio CAN be installed on virtually any Android or iOS device.

App is now available!

Baker & Taylor (our Axis 360 vendor) has released a free application called axisReader in addition to the Blio e-reader.

Library patrons can install the app on both Android and Apple iOS tablets and smartphones via the Google Play and/or Apple store, allowing patrons to “Find a Library”, bookmark the link, and instantly borrow and download best-sellers and new release fiction and non-fiction titles in EPUB and PDF formats.

 iOS (iPhone, iPad)

Android (Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo)

NOTE FOR NOOK USERS: Barnes & Noble recently made changes to their Android-based NOOK system to offer users access to the complete Google Play application store. What does this mean? With access to the Google Play store from NOOK Tablet, HD and HD+ devices, you now can download and install the Android versions of both the axisReader and Blio on the NOOK!

Note: Library customers needing more detailed assistance should refer to the Additional Info & Support section of the "Getting started - as easy as 1-2-3" Web page.
